Q: Rubber wedges must be removed before inserting the battery

A: On some notebooks, triangular rubber wedges are inserted into each side of the battery bay prior to shipment.

These rubber wedges must be removed prior to installing the battery, as the battery cannot be inserted with the rubber wedges in place
To remove the rubber wedges, pull the rubber wedge away from the notebook.

The rubber wedges are not needed for normal operation of the notebook, and should be discarded after they are removed.
